The Sourdough bread made by Sourdough Avenue in Laidley, is bread dreams are made of! I purchased three loaves of this amazingly tasty bread, two loaves of plain sourdough and a specialty loaf of cheese and bacon. Sourdough Avenue hadn't made a cheese and bacon loaf before, but they were willing to give it a go, and they knocked it out of the horse arena! The cheese and bacon load was abfab delishio! I'll have to think of a few other variations for them to make to put them to the test! Thank you again. We will be back! This is just what Laidley needs!
I've had the pleasure of trying the sandwich loaf and I cannot tell you how much better it was than any store brought sourdough I've had. Even my local bakery has nothing on these. YUM!

Absolutely delicious! taste how sourdough is meant to. I got the chili cheese loaf, garlic parmesan bread sticks (so good and texture was lovely and soft) and the bagel bites, definitely recommend. Pick up was easy and communication was great. Thank you!

Oh my GOD. The jalapeno cheddar loaf is go level. Don't purchase unless you're prepared to accept a new sourdough addiction. Everything from Sourdough Avenue is delicious and way better than anything you can possibly get in a store.

Hi, I’m Yohana,
Baking has been a part of my story for as long as I can remember.
As a little girl, I’d knock on neighbours’ doors with warm cookies wrapped in sandwich bags, selling them for a few cents. But it was never about the money, it was about the feeling. Knowing that someone was enjoying something I had made with my own two hands filled me with a happiness I couldn’t quite explain. It still does.
Today, sourdough is my love language. It’s how I show I care. There’s something deeply comforting in the process, mixing, folding, shaping, working the dough by hand slows everything down. It brings me calm, clarity, and purpose.
Every loaf I bake feels honest. Intentional. Like I’m putting a little part of myself into every bite.
I imagine the bread sitting on your table, being shared, sliced, pulled apart, still warm. It brings me so much joy to know that what I’ve made is feeding people, nourishing families, and becoming part of everyday moments that matter most.
Laidley is such a lovely little town. We've grown to love its pace, its people, and its beautiful sense of community. What started as a childhood dream has become something far more meaningful.
